Alan + Colin + Starseed

Most of my musical postings are based on the simple, standalone, pop song. So 70s concept albums – of which my record collection includes a few – don’t get much of a look-in.

The album in question is Pyramid by The Alan Parsons Project – which is well worth tracking down if you’re likely to be tolerant of 70s progressive rock. Alan Parsons’ other primary claim to fame is as Engineer of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.

The vocals are from Colin Blunstone – and it was for examples of his work that I was seeking, having recently been to a Zombies concert – about which, more later (I hope). And Starseed seems to be some bloke on the internet who’s able to create some rather pleasing electronic-generated video, and set them to music – which – in this case at least – works rather well.
