It’s an actual song

Here’s the song that goes with a recent TV campaign for BBC television licensing. I assumed it was the BBC being typically clever in writing a catchy, contemporary jingle neatly fitting the message.

I was put right when it was played on Sounds of the 60s and I discovered it’s an actual song.

Dating from 1966, written by Tony Hatch, and performed by his 15-year-old sister, Ninette

Not an expert on Tony Hatch but he’s written quite a bit, notably Downtown and the Crossroads theme.
